As a Diamond Dental Software user since 1988, I’ve come to appreciate the program’s stability, and I know I can trust my accounting, insurance and other data to be reliable and rock solid. The program has evolved over the decades and is full featured. I use the clinical notes and charting for every patient. You can save common note entries and enter them with one click. Insurance electronic claim processing is a snap and payment data details are displayed so patient questions can be quickly and professionally addressed. The support staff, (which I rarely need), is quick to respond and have always quickly solved any issue. If I sold my practice and later opened a new one, I would use DDS again.

I have used Diamond Dental and its many prior versions since the days of the floppy disk and the 286 computer (1990). I have 12,639 patient records and 1550 benefit plans entered. It is a fine product and does more than I need. I am able to run a totally paper free office with this program, digital x-rays and a couple of good scanners. The best part is that a dentist wrote the program and still participates in performing support himself. It is written by a dentist for dentists. I would highly recommend this product. The mere fact that it has survived in this market for over 3 decades tells you that it does its job well.

I purchased Diamond Dental Software when I started my practice from scratch in 1987. I had just bought my first computer for over three thousand dollars. I was heavy in debt and wanted a software program that did the basics of patient accounts, posting, and billing well. I looked at several (all DOS at the time) and found Diamond Dental for what I thought was a bargain. I believe it was under $600. It is now 29 years later. Diamond Dental has been wonderful. Software support has taken care of 2 or 3 minor problems over the years within a day. It still handles all the basics simply and well. Over the years, they’ve added bells and whistles that have made it better and kept up with the times. Finally, I look back and wonder where I would be if I hadn’t made that decision. I can only think I would have had more problems and paid tens of thousands more. I’ve been happy with my decision I made years ago.
